In the seemingly mad rush to acquire “breed” cats and dogs or “status” animals often the humble tabby or rescue breed dog is often overlooked & I think the public really miss out. In 25 years of rescue I don’t ever recall “problems” health wise or behaviour wise with any tabbies.
If you don’t want timidity, aggression, terror of small kids then get yourself a tabby. They are usually robust, minimal maintenance and are super chilled, good with everyone and everything – a real all-rounder with the most loving and appreciative natures.
